A New Children’s Daycare Center

The client for this Children’s Daycare chose to minimize construction costs by opting for pre-engineered metal building construction. The dark bronze ribbed metal siding creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for the facility, while the cutouts for windows are framed by a rich wood stain. Classrooms feature large expanses of transom glazing for security reasons, but still allow natural light to flood the spaces. The gymnasium functions as an exercise area in addition to theatre events put on by the classrooms. The gymnasium roof is elevated above the main building, offering a unique canvas for a mural on limestone veneer that captures the playful spirit of the activities taking place inside.
